  Hi all,

  The Humble Arts foundation has two fantastic new prints available to purchase.  The first is “Pink Dots” by Grant Willing which is being sold for $175 and the second is “Story Weather” by Hannah Whitaker which is being sold for $275.  As usual, each print is from a small edition of ten all of which are signed and numbered and are also an excellent investment.

  Event summary:

  The San Diego Fine Art Society, an emerging nonprofit arts organization, presents the “Finding your way in todays art market”, Thursday April 17th from 6:00 - 9:00pm. Join us for an evening of expert-led discussion on what it takes to create and evaluate our own personal art collections. Speakers will include Jori Finkel, host of the L.A. Art Show’s “Art Collector’s Bootcamp” and regular contributor on Southern California Contemporary art issues to The New York Times and Art + Auction magazine, and Patricia Frischer, coordinator of the San Diego Visual Arts Network and the San Diego Art Prize. Artist presenters include well known and loved regional artists Sinclair Stratton, Martin Sklar, and Jeff Yeomans. Wine, champagne, sushi and hors d’oeuvres included.   New Resource for Artists and Source for Buyers

  I received an email a few days ago from the creator of a new website called
  Art Break which is basically an online community where artists can sell their work and network with other artists. The layout of the site is quite basic but is easy to navigate and not at all cluttered unlike some of the other similar sites which makes the process of viewing the artworks available much easier and far more pleasant. The inclusion of a social networking feature and a forum is a great way of getting people excited about the art being sold as is the “Hot Right Now” section that “is a showcase of the best of the past week of Artbreak, as determined by the Artbreak hive mind. It shows works uploaded in the past 2 days, and combines views, likes, favorites and compliments to show you the art that’s most interesting to the community right now”

  Overall the artbreak.com website is very user friendly ,well thought out and has some really great art for sale at affordable prices so go and check it out.
